With a compact chassis, reliable Honda engine, and full safety features, it’s the perfect introduction to karting for future champions. It comes complete with AIDKA approved Honda GX35 engine ready to race

AIDKA MIDGET CLASS RULES:

Age & Licensing

  • Age Range: 5 to 7 years old
  • Licence Required: AIDKA Midget Licence
  • Medical Clearance: Mandatory for all competitors
  • Training: Must complete AIDKA Junior Training Program before racing

Kart Specifications

  • Chassis: Must be purpose-built for midget racing (e.g. Puffo, Mini)
  • Engine: Honda GX35 4-stroke (standard spec)
  • Tyres: Slicks or treaded tyres permitted (track dependent)
  • Brakes: Mechanical or hydraulic rear brake only
  • Seat: Must be appropriately sized and securely mounted
  • Steering: Must be free from play and operate smoothly
  • Number Plates: White background with black numbers

 Safety Gear

  • Helmet: Must meet AIDKA-approved standards (see Rule 38 in AIDKA rule book)
  • Race Suit: One-piece, abrasion-resistant
  • Gloves: Full-fingered
  • Footwear: Enclosed shoes or boots
  • Neck Brace: Mandatory
  • Rib Vest: Strongly recommended

Race Format

  • Non-competitive: No points, placings, or trophies
  • Track Time: Controlled laps under supervision
  • Flags: Yellow and red flags used for instruction and safety
  • Officials: Must include a designated Midget Class Supervisor

Restrictions

  • No modifications to engine or exhaust
  • No ballast or weight tuning
  • No aggressive driving or overtaking unless instructed
  • Parent/guardian must be present at all times
